RE-USE CHARITIES & SECOND-HAND STORES

 ReStore (Habitat for Humanity)



ReStores are retail outlets that collect and recycle new and used materials suitable for home construction, renovation and repair.  These items are used to build Habitat homes for low-income families and to be resold through the ReStore to the general public to finance Habitat building projects. Examples of accepted donations are: cabinets and countertops, tools, furniture and lumber.

Recycling Matters
A service of Community Living Ontario, Recycling Matters offers free pick up of clothes and other gently used household items.  To contact Recycling Matters please call (705) 945-1030 or visit their website for additonal information.

 

Indian Friendship Centre
The Indian Friendship Centre is located at 122 East St . They will accept gently used clothing & furniture, please phone reception at (705) 256-5634.

 

Value Village

Women In Crisis

Downing's Landscaping
Downing's Landscaping is located at 1123 Trunk Road. They accept plastic trays and pots. To contact Downing's Landscaping please call (705) 942-9062.

 

Goulais Disposals
Contact Goulais Disposals at (705) 649-3293 for pick ups of larger scrap metal items including cars.   Goulais Disposals operates the Havilland Waste Disposal Site where scrap metal can be dropped off, as well as reusable items for their second hand store e.g. lawn mowers, bicycles, household items.  Please see the Landfills section for hours of operation.
